With over 30 years in the outdoor living industry, I have gained a vast of knowledge of products, cultivated vendor relationships, and refined my leadership skills. My background includes visual merchandising at Nordstrom, fine arts at the University of Washington, Director of Merchandising, and eventually Head Furniture Buyer for a luxury retail chain, which was founded and continues to be run by my family.

Today, I am founder and CEO of J. Michelle Design Source, a resource for architects, designers, builders, and hospitality clients across Seattle and Eastern Washington--specifying outdoor kitchens and furnishings. I am passionate about helping my clients transform their outdoor spaces, from conceptualization of design, to execution using high-performance products. 

I am an authorized Danver Outdoor Kitchens dealer, an approved CEU presenter, and have served on the Board of the International Casual Furnishings Association. 

A long-time resident of Whidbey Island, I love to go on scenic hikes, travel, and spend time with friends and family— most likely involving beaches and wine.
