State Legislative Coalition
The movement to secure an interior designers’ right to practice is among one of the most significant issues facing current industry practitioners. The Washington State Chapter of ASID supports regulation of the interior design profession.
Although Alaska, Idaho, and Washington are not currently promoting interior design legislation, The Washington State Chapter of ASID is continuing our effort to help develop an interior design advocacy campaign to culture a more positive legislative climate. If you are interested in volunteering for committee work in these efforts please contact President-Elect@wa.asid.org.
To be an advocate for the profession,we must be advocates for our profession. We must continue to educate ourselves on the value of interior designers and impact of interior design. And find opportunities to share that knowledge with others. We must stay current with best practices as they relate to environmental stewardship and social responsibility and we must understand how interior design legislation impacts the profession.
Please check back frequently for updates and upcoming activities. To learn more about how you can help make an impact in Washington, please write the Interior Design Coalition of Washington.
